Heather Perluzzo is a 30-year-old indie Filmmaker from Montreal, now living in Vancouver. Her films embody a female landscape and perspective that she feels is lacking in the industry. After experiencing her own share of feminine trauma, she has chosen to transform her experiences into creative, unique science fiction shorts. She has won awards from Women in Horror Film Festival, Vancouver Short Film Festival, Run n' Gun, and has been nominated at Whistler Film Festival, Bloody Mary FF, VIWIFF among others. She was also nominated for a Leo in 2019 for her film Girl in the Galactic Sun, the same year she won the MPPIA Short Film Award at Whistler Film Festival alongside Aimer Films. Her latest film, Wildflower, is in post-production and should be entering the festival circuit shortly. Heather strives continuously to be inclusive, enforce gender parity, break stigmas and tell stories that inspire deep emotional connections (with a bit of humor)
