Restless and constantly pursuing change, this is the first impression that the Artist and Writer, Breno Augusto Guimarães, gives off. The Brazilian born actor, who grew up in Copacabana, has developed a big passion for body and nature. In Arts, he won many theatre awards, starting by the prestigious "Best Actor" award in one of his firsts pieces "Torturas de um Coração", by Ariano Suassuna. Then with his humour sketch " Bão, o Lutador", he won the award of Best Direction, and also an indication as Best Sketch and Actor in the Festival of Sketches in Resende, USA. The sketch got a position in the Festival, placing on the top 7 and receiving an indication to the "Best Actor" Award, similar to the Cabo Frio Sketch Festival, where he also got indicated to the Best Actor Award. In cinema, his short-length film "Strange Paradise (Paraiso Insólito), filmed in 2017, which he took part in writing the script, production and as the protagonist. The short film was awarded internationally as the Best International Short-Film in the Glendale International Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Also in the Plebeian Film Festival in San Diego (CA), the sketch won an award as Best Experimental Short Film, Best Short Film and Best Soundtrack in Cine Tamoio (with an indication to Best Fotography, Best Costume and Best Direction of Arts ). The award as Best Screenplay was received in the "Curta Cabo Frio" Festival in Brazil. His Film was selected for the Paris Lift-Off Festival in 2017, Hollywood International Moving Pictures 2018 and to the Los Angeles Indepedent Film Awards of 2018, making it his way of life since he was young, alongside of his drive for knowledge. With a profound love for physical activities, Breno adhered to such practices, from radical ones (Rafting and Mountain Climbing) to Races and Marathons. After adapting to this lifestyle, Breno graduated in Phisical Education (P.E), acquiring his degree; he also acted in the world of boxing. Alongside with Physical Activites, he learned Oriental Meditation Practices. As a result of such occurrences, Breno graduated as a Holistic Therapist Qualified in Shiatsu, Chiropractics, Ayurvedic and Reiki. He alsovis a Transcendental Meditation Practitioner of the Maharish Mahesh Yogi and Minister of Tibetan Rites in his Holistic Activities; Gaya,Yoga or Sonorous Rites.
