Jim Goose Guzior was born in Hammond, Indiana to parents Jim & Ann Guzior. He had three siblings, Steven Guzior, Mary Ellyn Guzior (Yoder) and AnnMarie Guzior (Sims). He grew up in Calumet City, Illlinois a suburb of Chicago and attended St. Andrew the Apostle grade school. He attend Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago and Thornwood High School in South Holland, Illinois and graduated in 1987. He began writing sports for the Daily Calumet/ Southtown Economist Newspapers in 1986-1989. He had various jobs from 1987-1992 including Continental Bank & The Law Firm of Rallo & Tepper while attending Roosevelt University in Chicago. In 1992, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Hawaii serving as a Medical Specialist. He attended Columbia School of Broadcasting, earning certificates in broadcast and editing in 1995. He attended Chaminade University, Hawaii 1993 as a Theater major taking acting courses. At this time, while still in the U.S. Army, he began his on-air career as the overnight Dee-jay at KNDI 1260 AM Radio, hosting the Rock Brigade show from 1994-1996. He was married to Jessica Nacapuy (Guzior) in Hawaii in 1994. He attended the Defense Information School at Fort Meade, Maryland in 1996 and became a U.S. Army Broadcast Journalist. He deployed to both Bosnia-Herzegovina (1997) and Afghanistan (2005) covering the war as a broadcast journalist. In Afghanistan, he was the media escort to Tom Brokaw (Dateline NBC News). In 2007, he returned to Hawaii as the senior enlisted public relations manager in the Pacific for the U.S. Army. His work took him to the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Bali, Indonesia (Jakarta), and Chile. In 2011, he began work with the network TV show Hawaii Five-O (2011-2016) as a military liaison, securing military helicopters, locations, Soldiers and vehicles. In 2011, he served as an extra on the show, Off the Map. His other Hollywood work included scouting trips for Godzilla (2014), Jurassic World (2015) and Hawaii Five-O episodes.
