Edward Tsai is a writer/director known for the Berlin Flash, Barcelona Planet, Miami Indie Film Festival nominated film-- The Mix Up (2017). His phenomenal tactics for telling the dark comedy gives the audiences a fresh feeling. He is a cat lover and Taiwanese filmmaker living in Los Angeles. He has more than five years experience of producing, editing, color grading, writing and directing for short films, music videos, and commercials. He has directed 12 narrative short films that screened on his own channel and one music video for a young talented singer-Dean Wang that reported by online entertainment news and reached 200,000+ views within three weeks, which is still growing. In addition, he is good at utilizing different filming techniques strategically in his every single piece in order to not only make it right but also do something differently. Before studying M.A. in directing and writing for film and television from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, he, in chronological order, has been an editor and assistant colorist in a large-scaled post-production for almost two years during his early career. In order to know more handy on-set experience and in-camera magic, he has shifted to shoot behind-the-scenes for a feature film-Zombie Fight Club, which is a cross-cultural cooperation between Hong Kong, Beijing, U.S., and Taiwan. This journey naturally led him to know how to work and communicate with different kinds of talents from different countries in a proper manner. Having skills in the post and on-set experience make him become an unstoppable filmmaker. As a young filmmaker trying to take off, he is waving his wings with full efforts and flying against the wind.
