Christopher Haydon

In Wonderland is Christopher Haydon's first independent short film, funded by Film London and Southern Exposure Film Fund, it stars Louise Brealey and Arthur Darvill. He has previously made a number of micro films: Devil in the Detail (Royal Court Theatre/Guardian), Taming of the Shrew, Two Gentlemen of Verona (Globe Theatre/BBC). He was Artistic Director at the Gate Theatre in London from 2012-2017, prior to that he was Associate Director at the Bush Theatre. He we was a 2016-2017 Clore Fellow. His theatre productions at the Gate include: The Convert, Diary of a Madman, The Christians (Fringe First Award) Grounded (national and international tour; winner: Fringe First and Off West End Awards) Image of an Unknown Young Woman (Off West End Award), Purple Heart, The Iphigenia Quartet, The Trojan Women, The Prophet, and Wittenberg. Freelance theatre directing includes: The Caretaker (Bristol Old Vic/Royal and Derngate Northampton), Twelve Angry Men, (starring Martin Shaw and Robert Vaughn; Birmingham Rep/West End), Pressure Drop (starring Billy Bragg and his band; On Theatre/Wellcome Collection) Monsters, Notes From Underground (Arcola) A Number (Salisbury Playhouse)
