When I was nine years old, my father, an amateur videographer, was asked to film friends' young daughter's birthday party. My father took me along to shoot "B Roll." When he showed his friends the raw footage, they favored what I shot because I was able to show them the child's perspective. As a result, their daughter's experience was realistically profiled. My love of filmmaking was born. My father gave me an old video camera and that was it. Anything could be my subject: kids playing in the street, rustling leaves in the trees, candid shots of my parents. I'm a film student at NYU Tisch School of The Arts, specializing in directing, cinematography, producing and screenwriting. I love exploring how art influences cinema. My education galvanizes the way I visualize film. I've learned to ensure that everything in the frame is deliberate and how images impart subliminal messages to the subconscious mind. Studying other filmmakers' visions develops my own cinematic voice. I've written, directed, shot and produced over 20 short-length screenplays, including Recovery One, Million by Midnight and Stole My Heart. Film That® is a video and film production company that I founded and have run since 2015. The company focuses on creating and producing cinematic, corporate and documentary films. FilmThat exhibits my latest work and blogs about the world of visual narrative. For more information please or follow us on Twitter: filmthatdotcom
