Liana Mesaikou is a Greek actress, writer and comedian, residing in Los Angeles. She has earned an MFA in Screenwriting at UCR. She has studied at RADA, the Groundlings, and Second City. She wrote the script for the 12th Orpheus Awards at the LA Greek Film Festival in 2018. Her first one-woman show "Fifty Shades of Melania" premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2019, and traveled to the New York Fringe in October 2019. In September 2020, she created her own late-night show "Dear America with Liana Mesaikou". Liana has acted in a number of stage productions and improv shows in Athens and London, and has also written and directed plays in Greece. During her time at UCR, she was the director of "Improvology" and was awarded the prestigious Gluck fellowship to develop two comedic interactive projects for kids -- which toured primary schools around Riverside to great success. She was a member of the all-female "Butter Sketch Comedy", and she's also a member of "The Interlocutors", a long-form improv team. She can be seen around LA performing improv and sketch comedy at venues such as the Gary Austin stage at the Groundlings, Second City Hollywood, the Pack Theater, the Clubhouse etc., as well as your zoom screens!
