Tonisha Walker

Tonisha Walker was born in Misawa, Japan to West Indian American parents. She has only one sibling, an older brother. Being the "baby" of the family, Tonisha has always been know for being "dramatic" and "extra". She has always had a passion for learning new things. Tonisha excelled in academics from grade school all the way through graduate school. In middle school and high school, Tonisha dibbled in theater. She acted as the lead role in many school plays and community performances. In college, Tonisha briefly dabbled in Plus Size modeling and even attended an acting school for a year. She soon realized that she preferred being behind the camera rather than in front of it. In 2009, Tonisha got married to Bishawne Walker. A little over a year later they gave birth to their first child, Shamari. Everyone always talked about how cute and photogenic Shamari was, so Tonisha submitted a picture she took of him to a popular local modeling agency in South Florida. In less than a week he was signed. In 2013, Tonisha gave birth to their daughter Sheridan. Sheridan also signed with the same modeling agency in 2016. Tonisha has been a stay at home mother, supporting her kids careers in both acting and modeling. The unpredictability of castings, callbacks, holds and filming, along with the kids sports and extra curricular activities has dictated her own personal career path. She tutors neighborhood kids and adults in her "spare time" because not only does she like to learn, she loves to help. Currently, Tonisha is back in front of the camera taping and filming for the hit new show, Stage Moms (2018). With hopes of Tonisha's own two kids becoming stars, she believes that this show will help launch her kids' careers and get them from Miami to Hollywood. At the end of the competition show, one hard working actor/actress and their mom will find out very close LA really is to Miami!
