Kaylah is a Latina actor who was born and raised in east Vancouver. Her mother is Canadian with a Dutch and English background and her father was a Chilean refugee. She completed a degree in Anthropology at the University of British Columbia before beginning to audition for film and television in 2017. She has since trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse and the Fitzmaurice Institute in N.Y.C and continues to work with mentor Lori Triolo in Vancouver. Kaylah is known for her portrayal of C.I.A lawyer Amelia Salazar in the Netflix series 'The Recruit' and Melissa O'Neil in the film 'Rescued By Ruby' opposite Grant Gustin. Favorite indie projects were the work of directors Gloria Mercer, David Ehrenreich, Kasey Lum and collaborations with Boldly Creative. Kaylah owes her knowledge of cinema to working at Black Dog Video (1996 - 2022) and she is eternally grateful to all the generous teachers she's worked with, including Patsy Rodenburg, Ron Stetson, Andrew McIlroy, Bruce Eckstut and Deb Podowski.
