De'Armond Ly'Shawn Toney was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was raised by his legal guardians, two people he viewed as his mother and father as he grew up. De'Armond discovered acting at the age of 17 in his English class during his senior year of high school. He was given one random line from Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', and was instructed to memorize the line and play the character for a full completion grade. He later attended East Tennessee State University and pursued a BA degree in Theatre. During his freshman year of college in 2014, he auditioned and was cast for his first stage play titled, 'The Dutchman.' His profound ability to quickly learn lines as well as step into the shoes of a different person instilled in him the drive to further pursue acting. One year later, it wasn't long before he began meeting different celebrities as a background actor in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2017, Eventually wanting more exposure as an actor, he soon moved away from background acting before staring in his first indie film, 'Black and Aliens.' In 2019, he was cast for a main role in the music video, Mind Over Mind by the popular metal band Norma Jean. In 2020, he later made his TV debut as Marco Holmes in the popular crime series, 'Fatal Attraction.'
