Kryll

Kryll aka Kryller is the Moniker of Rashi Jey from India, a talented DJ/Producer with good taste for sound. She was first introduced to Carnatic music at a very young age and has trained herself in several forms of arts and music culture. At the age of 17, she kick started her career in electronic music and has been performing under the name Kryll/Kryller for the last seven years. Having been an avid listener of various genres of music since her childhood, at the age of 14 she discovered Psytrance music. As of 2009 she has taken keen interest in the genre and started DJing as a form of expressing her taste and energy. After playing at various underground / commercial parties / music festivals in India, her DJ sets can be defined as unique, abstractly dealing with live sampling techniques in transition to building up varied levels of energy and intensity. Her goal is to give the listener a euphoric experience. She is strongly influenced by live musicians and believes in the broad spectrum of electronic music and has experimented on this by performing at strawberry fields (2014) with an eight-piece band, infusing electronic with live music calling it "when extremes collide." In the recent past, she conceptualized a few 24-hour radio shows with the best names in the Psytrance scene around the globe in a European Radio station, calling it "The Digital Party." 2014 was when she decided to go commercial and launched her project Kryller/Rashi Jey (Deep Prog, Techno, Tech House Music) at the Times of India's God's Own Music Festival, where she was announced as India's youngest DJ and had a crowd of 5000+ music lovers tapping their feet to her tunes, after which she was featured as one of the top female DJs in India in a few articles. The music that she is working on at the moment would feature her original production, mixes consisting of subtle melodies, analog sounds, with a combination of atmospheres dealing with live sampling techniques, some of which has been uploaded online in various portals for listening.
