Nawed Khan

Nawed Khan is one of the biggest names in the booming Dance music scene in India. A resident with Submerge, India's biggest artist management agency and dance music promoter, Nawed has constantly stayed ahead of the slow-paced music scene in India and is a mainstay of the biggest festivals and concerts in the subcontinent. A regular feature in clubs around India and Southeast Asia, he's one of the few DJs from India to have played across the globe with successful performances across America, Asia, Australia, Africa and Europe in a career spanning over 15 years. Nawed has performed on the main stage at the biggest festivals in India, like Supersonic, Sunburn and EVC. He was chosen to be the opening act for the Swedish House Mafia in India for their "One Last Tour" and has performed with international DJs like The Chainsmokers, Tiesto, Zedd, Axwell, Disclosure, Rudimental, Paul Van Dyk, Dada Life, Seven Lions, Steve Aoki, Above & Beyond, Wolfpack, Dash Berlin, Mark Knight, Yotto, Lane 8, Roger Sanchez, Markus Schulz, Dannic, Sander, Van Doorn, Wiwek and Benny Benassi, to list a few. Nawed has distinguished himself as a producer partnering with Nikhil Chinapa and his younger brother Zoheb Khan to produce several soundtracks for the Indian movie industry and the alternate remix market. Being the first DJ-Producers to envision Electronic Dance Music in a mainstream Bollywood movie way back in 2004 with the songs "Door Se Paas" and "Rabba" in collaboration with Nikhil Chinapa + Vishal and Shekhar for the movie Musafir, together they've produced music for over 40 movies and albums; over the years their work has been part of the biggest names in Bollywood, like Yash Raj Films, Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, T-Series and Sanjay Gupta's White Feather Films. Some of the notable movies they've been associated with are Salaam Namaste, Dus, Zinda, Billu Barber, Acid Factory, Jail, Superstar, Musafir, Mission Istaanbul, Don, Life in a Metro, Bluffmaster, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Om Shanti Om, Golmaal Returns and many more. Together with Nikhil, he also hosts the extremely popular Electronic Dance Music radio show called Together every weekend with support from the biggest international DJs and a massive following across India on BookMyShow's Jukebox. Nawed also performs under his Browncoat moniker, where he produces and plays away from his mainstream popularity. As Browncoat, he's gravitating towards the underground and deeper realms of dance music. His first production as Browncoat was signed to the elite Extra Dry Records UK, and his latest release is on one of India's mammoth labels - Soupherb.
