Awe-striking actress, Zariah C.A. Matthews (A.K.A. Zariah cam) is a filmmaker, published poet and song composer. Although notably revered on stage, Sacramento - native, Zariah Cam jump-started her on-screen career when she featured in the post-apocalyptic thriller, Unbelievers, following a leading role in the improvised drama, IHS: Every 15 Minutes (2015). After being awarded Sacramento's Best Spoken Word Performer (2017), Zariah was awarded best actress for her starring role in TV-Series Spatz ( 2019). Charmed by storytelling, Zariah is a fervent playwright, having written and directed her play, Meet the Westbrooks (2014) and produced two films, Roger's Monster (2015) and Pass the Note (2015), all during the Jr. and Sr. year of her academic career. This multidimensional story-teller empowers people through enamoring theatrical performances, and shares hope through the arts of acoustic and percussion song-play. Raised by super-mother, Carla Marie Matthews, Zariah Grew up engrossed with athleticism and entertainment. Soon finding herself to be spellbound by a calling towards music and acting, she dove into performing arts while juggling varsity sports. Self taught musician, Zariah C.A. Matthews honed piano, guitar and snare drum while unraveling her unwavering passion to act.
