Mansi Bhajanka is an up-and-coming writer and director from India based in Los Angeles. While in Mumbai, she worked with the production house still and still media collective as an in-house writer, while also working on many of their productions in various roles. She was the Assistant Director for India's first-ever Netflix film, Love per Square foot, and later went on to become the creative producer for the Disney India show called Girl In the City. While working at the production house, she also got the chance to be a fly on the walls in the writing rooms and production of many web series namely Bandish Bandits, Ceo Giri, Imperfect, and various others that are still in production. Before leaving for LA to pursue her MFA in filmmaking from New York Film Academy, Mansi shot two short films called Flow and Teela, which have accumulated many accolades in festivals around the world and been shortlisted by Disney India to be screened on their OTT platform. In LA, Mansi has shot over half a dozen short films that are doing the festival rounds. Her latest short is Strayed is a film regarding the environmental plight of our world and its multiple implications on the physical and psychological well being of our species. The film is told from the lens of a father who's going through a burnout due to his lack of connection with nature and his 6-year-old son who has been deeply impacted by the situation of our planet and in his fear constructs a time-capsule with all his favorite belonging for civilizations to come after our desist to find. In school, Mansi has been the founder and captain of the girl's soccer team and had later gone on to play the sport representing her state, Delhi, the capital of the nation. Due to her feet in sports Mansi was admitted to the prestigious Delhi University college Jesus and Mary on scholarship, from where she secured her Bachelors in Commerce Hons (Bcom Hons). But she had spent most of her time in college on the street documenting Delhi in her Camera as true love really was photography. And so as she was done with her bachelor's she took off to New York to pursue her dreams at the world-renowned International Center of Photography. In New York Mansi spent her year working on multiple documentary projects for one of which she captured the life of an Italian family of 6 living on welfare in Harlem for over 9 months, that project is available to be viewed on her website along with the rest of her photography portfolio. Mansi wishes to make this world a better place with her work and presence, that's her one and only way in life and she's well on her way of achieving that, in fact, some (universe) would say, she was specially crafted to play out her destiny as a world leader on and off-camera.
