Brandon is an Asian-American producer, director, and writer. He grew up shooting and editing stylized skateboarding videos in Los Angeles and was later inspired by his environment in Hollywood to pursue a career in film. In 2017, he graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. During his time in college, Brandon collaborated with crew members from over 20 different countries to produce over 15 short films, many of which have been selected and awarded at various film festivals around the world. The following year, Brandon became an executive producer on "Kusama - Infinity," a documentary that gave insight into the world-renowned artist Yayoi Kusama. The film was an official selection for Sundance Film Festival's US documentary competition. In 2019, Chen joined Digital Domain, one of the largest motion-capture post-production companies in the world, as a producer at their Beijing headquarters. At the company, he helped to develop and execute commercial, VR, and hologram productions. In recent years, Brandon continues to produce and executive produce art documentaries with Octopus Originals like "Kenny Scharf: When Worlds Collide," an official selection for South by Southwest's Documentary feature competition, and the Untitled Nam June Paik Documentary.
