Chayla Day

Chayla is a Toronto-based actor and dancer with a BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta. Recent credits include: Psycho's Therapy, Bleeding Hearts, and Do You Like Me? (film); Bright Burning, Government Inspector, Inspector General, The Tempest, The Orchard, and Viola in Twelfth Night (theatre); Anything Goes: GWG dance in 17 Parts, and Sybil (dance). Bright Burning premiered as a commissioned work by Governor General award-winning playwright, Colleen Murphy. With 20 years of dance experience, Chayla is trained in modern, ballet, jazz, African, folk, and musical theatre. She is an FDC Certified Basic Actor Combatant. Working as an acting coach, Chayla teaches master classes in auditioning, scene-study, and devised theatre.
