As he reached his high school years, he took an interest in theater and made his stage debut as multiple characters in the hit musical Chicago. Hurley went on to play minor characters on the musical stage in both school and in the city until he took a hiatus from acting and went on to find jobs to start making a living for himself. After graduating high school, he went on to resume pursuing his goals of reaching to the entertainment industry as a voice artist after being persuaded by family and friends. He made a sustainable living working different full time jobs and small video projects. As a cultural fan, he finally got his opportunity meeting up with filmmakers working on various fan films of all genres and after a couple of setbacks, Hurley was cast in a couple of independent films and series where he received positive reviews for his performances.
