Katherine Bourne Taylor is a Los Angeles based actor by way of Chicago. With strong roots in the theatre, she found a love for on-camera work and improv after graduating with a BFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University (Bob Hope Acting Award), and studying with The British American Drama Academy and the School at Steppenwolf in Chicago. Her notable film credits include the lead role of Colleen in "Cool for Five Seconds", which premiered on Omeleto to high viewership and earned her a "Best Actress" nomination at the Best of the Midwest awards. Other favorite roles include the lead in "Just Jo" alongside SNL cast member Tim Kazurinsky, and the lead in "Ships in the Night", a short film she also wrote, shot and directed during the quarantine in 2020. In her spare time, Katherine is a leader in the Los Angeles chapter of "The Back Room Shakespeare Project", performing Shakespeare plays, fully memorized with limited rehearsals- in a bar. She also enjoys filming and performing character sketches, especially "Grown Up Orphan Annie", an original character she performs at stand ups and variety shows throughout Chicago and Los Angeles.
