Marshall-Weishuai Yuan

Marshall-Weishuai Yuan is a multiple award winning actor, writer, director, filmmaker. He is the co-founder of New Order Art House, an independent film productions company which started in 2018. Marshall began his career as an actor, initially working as a background extra in commercials and other media to gain experience being on sets. In 2017 he attended the New York Film Academy in Sydney for a year and graduated with a diploma of acting. Shortly after graduation, he took an interest in film making and partnered up with his partner, Sangeetha Gowda, to form New Order Art House. In 2020 he received his first Best Actor award for his self written and directed film 'Superhero' at the New York International Film Fest and since then has won a total of eight international Best Actor Awards and four nominations. Marshall also holds titles for Best Director, Best Writer and Best Filmmaker in his other projects such as 'Starving Artist', 'Social Murderer' and 'Perpetua' Being of Chinese Australian background, his biggest goal is to promote diversity on a global scale through his work. Growing up, Marshall was accustomed to seeing negative stereotypes of Asians being portrayed in film. For that reason, he strives to be a good role model for the community.
