Born and raised in Chicago where my father, who as a young man, worked for Al Capone as one of his doubles and survived. Moved to and settled in Los Angeles with my family. Attended public school and graduated college with a B.A. Got the photography bug and began my photography career-owned and operated a small successful photo studio in L.A. Took and passed the photographer's test for the City of Los Angeles and was hired by the LAPD. where I photographed burglaries, robberies, assaults, officer involved shootings, suicides, and high-profile murders. I retired after 18 1/2 years and began working as a police photographer on crime/cop shows like: SOUTHLAND, LAW AND ORDER-LA, RHD-Robbery Homicide Division, THE PEOPLE VS O.J. SIMPSON, and movies like: FASTER, LINCOLN LAWYER. I helped create the, "forensic technician package", by providing productions not only myself but my expertise, my own costume(uniform), my props (professional photo equipment) , plus any and all images taken by me on the set.
