Kelita Zupancic

Canadian Judoka, Kelita Zupancic was born in North York, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are Annette and Edward Zupancic. Growing up in Whitby, Ontario, she began doing judo when she was 5 years old. At 21 years old, she trained for several months with the Komatsu women's team in Japan. Kelita has won multiple medals at the Pan American Championships through the years, including a gold medal in 2010, 2013 and 2015. Competing in 2 Olympic games, she finished in 9th place in London 2012 and 7th place in Rio 2016. Officially retiring from competitive judo in September 2020, she resides with her husband, Travis Stevens and their daughter.
