Alyssa Michele was born in Homestead, Fl on the military air force base. She was raised by the parents of Joyce Garner, who raised her as a single parent- with a passion for creating fashion. Though raised mostly by her mom, her dad, Victor Grubbs was very present in her life having a great influence on her love for music and acting. Her father served in the air force for 20 years while ministering in the church as a pastor and head of music. At the age of 15, she moved to Atlanta, Ga where she attended high school at North Springs Performing Arts School where she earned her Choir magnet seal, and performed in her first musical theatre performance. Her love for acting, dancing, and singing on stage grew, and she went on to study musical theatre at The University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. There, she started getting professional work, and booked her first on TV commercial. After graduating, she moved to back to Atlanta, Ga to pursue her career. She quickly started to get well known in both the stage performance, and independent film industry. She booked her first full feature (Pathway) while participating in local web-series such as "Choosing Chastity", and various TV roles.
