Amit Mandre

Amit Mandre has been born and raised in India, Bangalore and belongs to one of the oldest film families in the South. His grandfather Mr. Ramanand Mandre one of India's pioneering distributor/producer was a key influence in his life. Owning 2 theatres namely Sangam Talkies amit loved watching movies after school and from that young age was brought into the business of film making. His sister, Sharmila Mandre is an acclaimed actress in South India with over 20 movies, and his uncle and late aunt Dr. & Mrs. Murali Manohar are veteran producers with over 35 movies to their credit worldwide. Amit started his first directorial venture assisting Mr. Jagmohan Mundra in 2005, and there was no turning back. Creating and Directing movies and scripts has been a passion which he is now turning more into a reality. Amits directorial debut will take place in 2018 in London and will be a family affair. The genre of movies which Amit is passionate about is new age and crisp movies which focus on current affairs and the most recent topics in the news. Through his movies he hopes to bring to light and help with some looming issues through his creativity. He has a calm persona with tremendous attention to detail, he starts with an intense research about the topic and a hands on approach to the script as well, keeping in mind new technology and the ever changing film society.
