Jessica L'Heureux

Jessica co-founded Far West Productions Inc., a bilingual production company based in Alberta, with Corey Loranger and Benoit Pellerin in May of 2015. She directed and produced Sel et Diesel (Season 1), broadcasted on UNIS TV in the fall of 2017, and TV5 World in the summer of 2018. She also directed and produced Sel et Diesel (Season 2) which is broadcasting on UNIS TV this upcoming summer. In addition to this, she directed and produced the first French-language fiction web series in Alberta, Abigaëlle et le date coaching. She and her team obtained funding from Téléfilm Canada and the very competitive Fonds TV5 to produce this web series. She has also worked as a journalist and producer at CBC/Radio-Canada for over 12 years. Jessica and her team have received numerous awards. In 2018, she was runner-up for the Edmonton Film Prize for the series Abigaëlle et le date coaching. She and her team won Best Web Series for Abigaëlle et le date coaching and Best Information or Lifestyle Series for Sel et Diesel (Season 1) at the Alberta Media Production Industries Association Awards. She was also nominated for Best Director for her work in Abigaëlle et le date coaching at the Alberta Media Production Industries Association Awards. Far West Productions Inc. also won the « Envol » price from the Regroupement artistique francophone de l'Alberta for their exceptional artistic work to-date. Far West Productions Inc. also won the 2018 Business of the Year in Alberta from Conseil de développement économique de l'Alberta.
