Montanna Louise Dowden, is an Australia born actress, dancer and writer. Montanna was born in Kariong, New South Wales to Janet Dowden (Holland), a nurse and Greg Dowden, a labourer. She has four brothers stretching across two parental marriages. Montanna also has an English and German ancestry. Her parents divorced in 2000 and moved around a lot before ending up in Taree, New South Wales in 2010 where she completed her High School Certificate at Manning Valley Anglican College in 2015 where she earned the Principal's Award. Upon graduating she moved to the Gold Coast, Queensland where she got involved in local theatre productions including a chorus role in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" (2016) at Gold Coast Little Theatre and the role of Lady Stutfield in "Lady Windemere's Fan" (2017) at Gold Coast Little Theatre. Montanna has trained with many dance companies since the age of 3 and performed in competitions. She is trained in various styles including Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, Modern, Cabaret and Musical Theatre. Montanna holds a Cert IV in Justice Studies (2016) from Gold Coast TAFE and is currently studying a Bachelor of Education at Griffith University. In her spare time, Montanna enjoys listening to music and writing.
