Rankin Dean began filming and acting in his own videos for YouTube at 11 years old in his small hometown in Texas. He shifted to acting in theatre throughout high school and college where he played principle roles in plays such as "The White Rose," "Moon Over Buffalo," "Barefoot in the Park," and "Sense and Sensibility." Rankin moved to Abilene, TX where he attended Abilene Christian University for his Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree in Acting. While in school, he made several more short films and wrote & directed his first feature-length film "This Is You." The film went on to premiere at the Historic Paramount Theatre in Abilene to an audience of more than 200 people. As of 2020, Rankin has made and acted in several more short films, earning him film festival awards such as (3) Best Picture, Best Actor, (2) Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, and Best Production Design. He just finished his second feature-length film, a suspense-driven thriller titled "At the End of Eight," and is going through multiple film festivals and has won Best Student Feature Film at two different festivals so far.
