Hannah Brannau joined Acting Without Boundaries (a non-profit theater group for teens and adults with physical disabilities) in 2004. The group was founded by Christine Rouse, who was determined to create an opportunity for disabled actors to showcase their talent, harness their creativity, and form lasting friendships. Since its inception, AWB has grown to include over 30 actors, as well as an additional children's group, AWB Jr. AWB meets monthly for rehearsal workshops before putting on a fully-staged musical each year, the most recent being, "Mary Poppins". While working with AWB, Hannah sang in choirs throughout high school, and got accepted into Saint Joseph's University. Throughout college, she performed with the SJU Theater Company, the student-run theater company, Followed By A Bear, and graduated with a degree in English Literature. Since then, she has performed with The Media Theater and Temple University, as well as several local film and television productions. She is extremely passionate about doing work that promotes the inclusion of disabled people in all aspects of the entertainment industry, in hopes that it will bring attention to the needs of the disabled community as a whole.
