Michael Luke

A relative latecomer to acting, Michael first took to the stage at the age of thirty two and, within two years, had won the Best Actor award at Durham City Theatre for his role in Francis Durbridge's "House Guest" and Best Supporting Actor in a stage production of Frank Capra's "Arsenic and Old Lace". Following a transition into TV acting, Michael landed a recurring role in Coronation Street from 2015 to 2017, a part in Emmerdale, as well as several other major BBC and ITV productions. 2018 has seen Michael become a regular player in the independent film scene in the North East and Manchester with roles in several Independent Film Festival award winning productions. A multi-episode part in Coronation Street, a lead role in a stage production at the Theatre Royal in Sunderland and a primary part in a major motion picture about the Strangeways Prison Riot are also due later this year.
