Maryline Chery's a French bilingual actress, artist, creator and playwright of Haitian descent based in Montreal. Chery is both alumni from Concordia University's BFA Theatre Program and The Black Theatre Workshop (Canada's oldest black theatre company) artist mentorship program. Chery's play "Fanm Rebel" was part of the Centaur Theatre's 2020 Portico Project; an alternative fall theatrical season. Chery is known for her television work in District 31 (2020), Les beaux malaises (2020) and Ruptures (2019) to name a few. Deeper at heart, Maryline's craft revolves around her heritage and identity, which has led to theatre making centered on Black feminism and West Indian culture.
