Carter Schaeffer had been an aspiring filmmaker from the time he saw Pixar's Cars in theaters at five years old. Ten years later, he would write, direct, film, and compose the original music for his debut short, The Sharpener. Having learned and grown through his experience in the Grandin Theater Film Lab, Schaeffer has become something of a teenage auteur, especially in his work with Dylan Trail, with whom he has become an award winning filmmaker.
