Blair Davis is an Associate Professor of Media and Cinema Studies in the College of Communication at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. His books include The Battle for the Bs: 1950s Hollywood and the Rebirth of Low-Budget Cinema (Rutgers University Press, 2012), Movie Comics: Page to Screen/Screen to Page (Rutgers University Press, 2017) and Comic Book Movies (Rutgers University Press, 2018). His essays are featured in such anthologies as Reel Food: Essays on Film and Food (2004), Horror Film: Creating and Marketing Fear (2004), American Horror Film: The Genre at the Turn of the Millennium (2010), Recovering 1940s Horror Cinema: Traces of a Lost Decade (2014), The Blacker the Ink: African Americans and Comic Books, Graphic Novels and Sequential Art (2015) and Working Class Comic Book Heroes (2018). He serves on the Executive Board of the Comics Studies Society, and recently appeared on two episodes of the AMC series James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction.
