Mirlande Amazan

Mirlande Amazan was born in Haiti (also carries the surname "Abouzeide"; is of Syrian and Afro-Cuban descent) and came to the United States at the age of three, when her family moved to New York City. A licensed psychotherapist, Mirlande initially enjoyed a long career in mental health across various organizations, quickly becoming a director in her field. Holding degrees in both psychotherapy and ministry, she ran a non-profit organization geared towards mental health and spiritual growth. Her past as an international model spurred her into the acting, directing and producing world, bringing her unique experience as a therapist to the scripts that she writes, aiming to break mental health stigmas and bring clarity to the masses. She is a writer, producer and director and wears all of these hats on her debut: "LIFE..". Mirlande has several projects pending, including a T.V. pilot to be pitched as an episodic.
