Austin Kuniyoshi was born in Monterey Park, California and began acting at the age of five where he made his first acting debut in several national commercials. After doing commercials in his early childhood, Austin acted in several stage productions including Asian American theatre productions such as A Kamaboko Christmas (2002). He also acted in high school productions of West Side Story, Anything Goes, and The Phantom of the Opera. Austin went on to study Psychobiology at UCLA and performed annually (2013-2017) in full-length original musicals put on in Royce Hall by the student organization Samahang Pilipino. Since graduating in 2017, Austin has joined hereandnow Theatre Company and has performed in student films with AFI, UCLA, and USC. Austin made his episodic debut as Kenji on Hapa.
