Brian North was born Salahaddin Isu, September 15th, 1993, in Tobruk, Libya. He is the middle of four children of a nurse mother from Gondor, Ethiopia, and a rancher father from The Keyi tribe. A tribe that predates the Solomonic dynasty. After graduating from high school, Brian enrolled in photography, intent on a career in journalism and war photographer. However, he caught the acting and directing bug while appearing in high school plays, and a couple of drama productions, mostly as a freelancer. He moved to Oslo and went to the local theater to create his own shows. He left his job as a writer and cinematographer after working 7 years to seek work as a director. His first paid acting role was in Snowman which shot back in early 2015 and from there all the way to his own theatre production of Nelson Mandela. The play was "Who am I?", which is about the idea of 27 years to become a leader and the early days of activist movements. He saw the real historical character, Gil Scott Heron and Nina Simone, although much of the dialogue was created by others it showed him how art never dies. He had no difficulty finding work in numerous television productions and also started touring as a comedian. He made his first big-screen appearance in Life of Water released in private theaters due to Covid-19. Through the 2010s, his career began to take precedence when he got the chance to work with Netflix to create a pilot project towards helping people see the underlying problems we face today between people of different backgrounds. See something, do something movement was to fight and stop the hatred between people with the power of sharing real-life events on screen. In 2018, Brian North headlined The Sunshine, a post-Apocalyptic Comedy tour. Later that year, he recorded his second comedy special When Laughter Started. A tribute to Richard Pryor and Bill Hicks. This was his fifth and one of the final collaborations with the director [Abraham Keyi). In 2019, he started to plan an international tour with 5 other comedians, when restrictions hit in late December, all over Europe was under the shutdown. He packed his tour bus and did only local shows only from Norway to Spain. Stopping in cities from Stockholm, The Hague, Amsterdam, Munich, Barcelona and ending it in Madrid
