DC drama E09: Who's gonna be the next Flash

The DCU drama never ends. With James Gunn at the helm of DC Studios, the DCU is set to get a makeover. In addition to replacing Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman as the three most prominent DCU superheroes, other DC characters will also be cast in new roles, including the controversial Flash actor Ezra Miller.

According to the latest rumors, Warner Bros. has already lined up several candidates to replace Ezra Miller as the Flash in the new DCU, and three candidates are currently being considered by Warner executives, they were Lucas Till, George MacKay and Dylan O 'Brien. One of them, Lucas Till, who played the Cyclops’ brother Havok in the X-Men series, is 5.9 feet tall, almost the same height as Bally Allen in the comics, and his physical appearance and temperament fit perfectly, which I personally think is the best fit.

The second candidate to play the Flash is George MacKay, who was previously reported to have casted for the role. George MacKay acted Lance Corporal Schofield in the film 1917 (2019), and his performance was well received by many fans. However, there is a big difference between his appearance and the feeling of the Flash. I don't know whether he can be the next Bally Allen.

The final candidate is Dylan O 'Brien, who is also the most popular actor among fans. Dylan O 'Brien, who has starred in Teen Wolf, The Maze Runner, and Love and Monsters (2020), is a fan favorite. Dylan O 'Brien would be a pretty good fit for the Flash, too.

All the three hopeful candidates are here, it's not clear who will be the next Flash, but Warner Bros. has scheduled a press conference in the beginning of 2023 to reveal the future of DCU. Let’s stay tuned.
